What is this project?
The Miraculous Calendar project is a collaboration of fan artists and writers joining together to create a calendar celebrating Miraculous Ladybug.
The calendar will be comprised of a collection of fanart as well as the traditional 12-month calendar including spot art on each page.
This calendar will be accompanied by a 4 chapter fic is written collaboratively by fanfic writers, and will be released digitally throughout the year! One chapter per weather season.
How do I get the calendar?
Upon completion, the calendar used to be free to download; this will differ from the past years.This year, you'll be able to purchase the digital calendar file and the physical copy through our online store, with all profits going to our good cause.[ IMPORTANT ]The digital calendar will be available on a pay what you can basis, so those who don't have the means, can still get it for free! Whatever price you decide, will be donated to our good cause.The physical calendar will be available to purchase from November 1st until January 24th through our online store, which will be manufactured and shipped locally to you through print on demand!All profits from this will go to our good cause, and the donation will be made on January 24th, whereafter only the digital calendar will be available to download for free.What good cause?
We're currently screening organizations and are awaiting audience input and voting to select our cause we'll raise money for. We hope to announce this while contributor applications are open!

Who can participate?
Anyone can apply to participate! We don’t have any requirements other than being a fan of the show and being familiar with drawing fanart and/or writing fanfiction to this show specifically. You can read more in our guidelines
What is a Spot/Month artist?
Per month, a month artist and spot artist will work together to become a cohesive page, and though you'll create your art on your own, you will work on the general idea together for our theme 'falling'.Month artists will get one big art piece to work on. Spot artists will only create smaller illustrations per month, therefore work multiple months.If there's an issue with a specific match up, of course our mods will do our best to intervene or switch.(Example from past years, Layout subject to change)
How does the Calendar fic work for writers?
We are trying out something new this year. We are looking for 2-4 writers to write a collaborative 4 chapter (2500 word per chapter minimum) story. This also related to our theme 'Falling'. This story is expected to have (some) continuity, as it will be released, one chapter per weather season digitally! the overarching idea and storyline will be decided between the writers collaboratively within our discord server.On our physical calendar, there will be a reminder icon on these dates, as well as us posting these chapter(s) on Instagram as a graphic, and on Tumblr as a text post.We hope to also have some accompanying fic art per chapter, but this might depend on applicants on the artist side!

As per the 2024 & 2025 editions, this project is still run by @cheesyakumas; but our mod team has expanded!
What are the usage rights for this calendar?
The calendar is available for personal use only and may not be distributed in part or whole by anyone except by the calendar mods and the artists who own the rights to the images themselves.

Content Guidelines
- this is an SFW (Safe for work) project. We will not allow nudity, sex, or other adultery within the calendar- Illegal ships (adult x minor), crack ships, etc. will have no place in this project- We do not allow generative AI in any step of our process for no contributor or moderator in this process
Contributor Guidelines
- You must be able to meet set deadlines (see schedule)- All communication will be done through Discord, so you must be active or check-inIf you find that you cannot meet the deadlines during this project, please contact a moderator ASAP- This is a collaborative event, you will be working with other artists to make a cohesive calendar page- Theme for 2027 is 'Falling' so we like our contributors to loosely follow this theme.- Your contribution will be used in the calendar that is made for personal use.The physical calendar will be sold online between November 1st and January 24th, with all profits going to CAUSE.The Digital version will be on a 'pay what you can' system, with any profit going to this cause until after the shop closes on January 24th; whereafter the calendar will only be available digitally for free.Your art might also be used on smaller print on demand items like post cards with proceeds going to the same cause. This will be planned beforehand.
